Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment – PhD
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programme is targeted for students who are interested in research work and wish to continue their career as researchers or academicians. Students who enrol in these programmes are required to produce a thesis and will be evaluated by examiners and defended by the candidate in an oral presentation/examination.

Language Requirements
LMCM1083 Communicative Malay Language for International Students (compulsory for all international postgraduate students).
English Proficiency
Obtained IELTS (6), or TOEFL (550) (This requirement is waived for applicants who completed their previous studies in English; submit an "English Medium Structure" certificate).
Research Proposal
The research proposal should contain the following details and not more than 8 pages:
