Why Choose Software Engineering At UKM Qatar
The Bachelor of Software Engineering Programme trains students in professional software development from design to deployment. The curriculum covers the complete software development lifecycle including requirements engineering, software design, quality assurance, testing, project management, and maintenance. Students learn industry-standard methodologies for building secure, reliable, and maintainable software systems. Specialized courses in software security, quality metrics, and evolution prepare graduates for leadership roles in software development teams. Industrial training provides practical experience in professional software projects.
Shahadat Al-Thanawaya Al-Aama or twelve years (12) schooling
Minimum 70% overall result.
Minimum 70% in Mathematics.
Advanced Level (A-Level)
Applicants must meet ONE of the following:
For three (3) subjects: a minimum Grade C for every subject including Mathematics.
For four (4) subjects and above: a minimum Grade C in three (3) subjects, AND a minimum Grade D in Mathematics.
Advanced Level (A-Level) requirement summary: Minimum Grade C in three (3) subjects including Mathematics (with alternative conditions for 4+ subjects as stated above).
International Baccalaureate (IB)
Overall minimum 25 points.
High Level (HL) subjects: a minimum score of 3 in two (2) subjects, including Mathematics.
English requirement
Applicants must meet ONE of the following:
Minimum IELTS score of 5.5, OR
50% to 69% in English in Shahadat Al-Thanawaya Al-Aama (need to enroll in UKM Qatar English course and to obtain IELTS score of 5.5 before completion of studies).
Additional requirement
Pass the interview set by the faculty (if applicable).
